Stony Brook, N.Y. - Jon Lewis was named the America East Pitcher of the Week for the week ending May 2, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon. Lewis dominated on the mound in the Seawolves 9-1 victory over Hartford on Saturday, striking out a career-high 13 batters without allowing a walk in a complete game win.

The junior fanned 13 of the 28 batters he faced and had at least one strikeout in every inning, striking out the side in the second and to close out the game in the seventh. With his performance he moved into second place on Stony Brook's all-time strikeout list with 209 career K's and third on the wins list with 17 career victories.

The Seawolves have reeled off five consecutive victories to improve to 20-19 this season, 6-6 in America East play.
