Storrs, Conn. - The Stony Brook women's volleyball team won its second match of the day at the UConn Invitational on Friday evening, sweeping Holy Cross in three games. With the victory, the Seawolves improved their record to 3-3 this season.

Senior Maria Samilo led the Seawolves attack, matching a career-high with 17 kills in the three-game win. Freshman Morgan Sweany posted her second double-double of the day, tallying 10 kills to go along with 16 digs. Senior Abby Egan added 16 digs and freshman Kate Ruskowski paced the Seawolves with 39 assists in the victory.

Stony Brook is back in action tomorrow afternoon when it faces tournament host UConn at 2 p.m.
