New Britain, Conn. - The Stony Brook softball team was edged 1-0 by Hartford on Thursday afternoon at CCSU Softball Field. With the loss, the Seawovles fell to 14-21 overall and 5-2 in America East play, while the Hawks improved to 6-11 and 2-4.

Hartford scored the only run of the game in the bottom of the fifth inning on an RBI single.

Sarah Hoffman (8-6) took the loss after allowing just one run on two hits while striking out eight and walking none.

The Seawolves return to action this weekend when they travel to Albany for a three-game series.
