Ryan Claypool Signs Professional Baseball Contract

Stony Brook, N.Y. - Former Stony Brook baseball player Ryan Claypool has signed a professional contract to play with the Long Beach Armada of the independent Golden League based out of California and Arizona. Claypool is the 15th Stony Brook baseball player to sign a professional contract and the 13th since the Seawolves moved to Division I in 2000.

Claypool, a 6-4, 200 pound right hander from Buffalo, N.Y., has appeared in six games for the Armada this season, posting an 0-2 mark with a 6.97 ERA. A two-year letter winner for the Seawolves, he posted a 2-3 record and one save in 21 career appearances while starting 12 games.
