Softball Falls to Hartford On The Road, 8-1

West Hartford, Conn. - Marissa Fleury hit her team-leading 8th home run for Stony Brook in the fourth inning but the Stony Brook softball team fell to Hartford on the road, 8-1, in an America East conference game. Stony Brook snaps its three-game winning streak and is now 24-14, 10-4. Hartford is 19-18, 9-5.

Hartford's Nikki Thompson hit a three-run homer in the third inning that proved to be the difference.

Fleury hit her home run with one out in the fourth for her 33rd RBI of the season.

Kelly Oberto and Samantha Posey had the other two hits for Stony Brook.

The Softball team is back in action with a doubleheader against Sacred Heart. Game one's first pitch is scheduled for 3 pm.
