Stony Brook, N.Y. - Stony Brook University senior midfielder Brooke Barbuto (Syracuse, N.Y.) was named Stony Brook Athlete of the Week on Tuesday after scoring two goals to lead the Seawolves to back-to-back conference victories last week.

Barbuto scored the game-winning goal in the 1-0 victory over Vermont on Thursday and then scored the Seawolves first goal in the 2-1 win at UMBC on Sunday afternoon. She has now tallied a point in four straight games and leads the team in assists (three) and points (nine.)

Stony Brook returns to action on Thursday, Oct. 16, traveling to take on Albany. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
