Cambridge, Mass. - Stony Brook University freshman midfielder Colleen McKenna (Manorville, N.Y.) was named America East Women's Soccer Co-Rookie of the Week on Monday, the conference office announced. McKenna scored the game-winning goal in the Seawolves conference opener on Sunday afternoon, a 1-0 victory over the Hartford Hawks.

McKenna received a pass on the left side of the 18-yard box from senior Brooke Barbuto (Syracuse, N.Y.) and slotted it into the right corner of the goal to send the Seawolves to a 1-0 victory over the Hawks. The freshman midfielder is now second on the team in goals (two) and points (five).

Stony Brook returns to action on Thursday, Oct. 2, traveling to take on New Hampshire. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m.
