Women's Soccer Announces Spring Schedule

Stony Brook, N.Y. - A trip to Maryland for the 13th annual KICKS Against Breast Cancer tournament as well as six home games highlight the 2009 Stony Brook University women's soccer spring schedule as announced by head coach Sue Ryan today. The Seawolves open their spring schedule on Sunday, March 29 at 4 p.m., hosting Wagner and Sacred Heart at LaValle Stadium.

Following the contests against Wagner and Sacred Heart, the Seawolves will host the New York Magic on Thursday, April 2. The Magic competes in the W-League; a member of the United Soccer Leagues (USL) that is affiliated with soccer through the United States Amateur Soccer Association. SBU will then head to the KICKS Against Breast Cancer tournament on April 18 to take on Loyola and George Mason. The KICKS tournament will take place at the University of Maryland.

The Seawolves will then host the Magic again (4/23) before concluding the spring season on March 26 on LaValle Stadium with games against Manhattan and Iona.
