Cambridge, Mass. - Freshman goalkeeper Chelsea Morales (Temecula, Calf.), of the Stony Brook University women's soccer team has been named America East Rookie of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday. Morales posted shutouts in Stony Brook's win over Vermont and UMBC last week.

Morales made five saves in the 2-0 win over UMBC on Sunday after stopping six shots in the 3-0 victory over Vermont on Thursday. She has recorded a shutout in three of her last four games for the Seawolves, who are 4-1-1 in their last six contests.

Currently in second place in the America East, the Seawolves return action on Thursday at New Hampshire. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m.
