Stony Brook, N.Y. - Sophomore right hander Tyler Johnson (Chatsworth, Calif.), junior third baseman Stephen Marino (Lake Grove, N.Y.) and freshman second baseman Maxx Tissenbaum (Toronto, Ontario) of the Stony Brook University baseball team each earned weekly America East honors, the conference office announced on Tuesday. Johnson was named Pitcher of the Week, Marino Player of the Week and Tissenbaum Rookie of the Week after leading the first-place Seawolves to a three-game sweep of UMBC over the weekend.

Marino hit .500 (6-for-12) in the three-game set against the Retrievers and drove in a career-high six runs in the 22-1 win on Sunday. He leads the team with 12 multi-hit games and his .336 batting average ranks 10th in the America East. Tissenbaum recorded two hits in each of the three games against the Retrievers and hit .750 for the weekend.

Johnson hurled a three-hit shutout in the Seawolves 6-0 win on Saturday, carrying a no-hitter into the seventh inning. He also tied a career-high with 10 strike outs.

The Seawolves return to action on Wednesday, traveling to take on Hofstra. First pitch is set for 3:30 p.m.
