Stony Brook, N.Y. - Sophomore Nick Tropeano (West Islip, N.Y.) was named the SimplexGrinnell Stony Brook Athlete of the Week on Monday after leading the Seawolves to a 3-2 win over Albany on Saturday afternoon.

Tropeano earned the victory against the Great Danes, allowing just one earned run in 8.0 innings of work. The right hander gave up just three hits and struck out 10. Tropeano has a 3.07 ERA and has struck out 58 batters in 55.2 innings.
