Baseball game vs. Iona Postponed to Thursday

March 15, 2011

Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook University baseball team's doubleheader against Iona scheduled for Wednesday at 2 p.m. has been postponed due to forecasted inclement weather in the area. The teams will now play a single game on Thursday at 3 p.m. Iona will now also return to take on Seawolves for a single game on April 12 at 3:30 p.m.

Thursday's game will be played at Baseball Heaven in Yaphank, N.Y. as renovations to Joe Nathan Field continue. This weekend the Seawolves will participate in the Seton Hall Strike Out Cancer Tournament, taking on NJIT, Fordham and the host Pirates.

Stony Brook (7-4) has won five straight including a perfect 4-0 mark at the Bo Jangles Classic over the weekend and was named CollegeBaseballInsider.com's Northeast Region Team of the Week on Tuesday.
