Stony Brook, N.Y. - Off to its best start since 2000 and winners of 11 of its last 12 games, the Stony Brook University baseball team continues to receive attention from the national media. The Seawolves have been featured on Baseball America's website and on ESPN.com this week.

SBU head coach Matt Senk was interviewed for a feature story on the Seawolves that appeared in Aaron Fitt's College Baseball Blog on Wednesday on Baseball America's website. Fitt is the lead college baseball writer for Baseball America.

Senk then appeared in the Q&A portion of Eric Sorenson's College Baseball weekend preview on ESPN.com. Stony Brook was named an Under the Radar team by ESPN.com last week.

Ranked No. 23 in College Baseball Daily's latest Mid-Major poll, Stony Brook is coming off an 11-0 victory over Army on Monday afternoon. Junior Tyler Johnson (Chatsworth, Calif.) and freshman Frankie Vanderka (Levittown, N.Y.) combined on a four-hit shutout for the Seawolves, who have not allowed an earned run over the last 28.0 innings.

On Sunday afternoon, junior all-american Nick Tropeano (West Islip, N.Y.) and freshman right-hander Brandon McNitt (Woodland Hills, Calf.) combined on a no-hitter in Stony Brook's 1-0 victory over Army. It was the second no-hitter in five games for Stony Brook, which had a no-hitter thrown by Vanderka on March 18 against NJIT.

The Seawolves return to action this weekend, traveling to NYIT for a four-game series.
