Coming off the its first ever America East regular season championship, the Stony Brook University baseball team will host the 2011 America East Baseball Championship at Joe Nathan Field from May 25-28. The top-seed Seawolves will be joined by Maine, Binghamton and Albany in the four-team double-elimination tournament.
Fans can listen to all Stony Brook games at www.goseawolves.org and locally on WUSB 90. 1 FM. Live Stats for all games will be provided on the America East's Championship Central page.
Stony Brook has won 11 straight and 22 of its last 23 and finished the regular season 41-10 overall and 22-2 in the America East. The 22 conference wins tied an America East record.
Winners of two of the last three America East Championships, the Seawolves will be looking to repeat as conference champions for the first time in program history.
Tickets are $7 for adults, $3 (14 & Under) for youth and $2 for students from America East institutions with a valid student I.D. Admission for Stony Brook students with a valid student I.D. is free courtesy of the Stony Brook Athletics department.
