New York, N.Y. - The Stony Brook Baseball team, Wolfie and the Spirit of Stony Brook Marching Band all participated in the 68th Annual Columbus Day Parade, organized by the Columbus Citizens Foundation. Approximately one million spectators watched the parade, which ran north on Manhattan's famous Fifth Avenue from 44th Street to 72nd Street and aired live on WABC-TV.

The baseball team was invited to the parade by the Columbus Citizens Foundation to celebrate its 2012 "Shock the World" run to the College World Series. The marching band was invited to perform for the second consecutive year.
