Stony Brook, N.Y. -
The Stony Brook baseball team returns to the diamond on Wednesday, traveling for a mid-week matchup with the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
Last time out: Junior Travis Jankowski (Lancaster, Pa.) had three hits but the Stony Brook University baseball team dropped its third straight one-run game to East Carolina, falling to ECU, 4-3, in the finale of a three-game set on Sunday at Clark-LeClair Stadium.
Scouting Fairleigh Dickinson: The Knights are 1-2 on the season and take on New York Tech on Tuesday before hosting the Seawolves on Wednesday. Because of rainouts the contest against NYIT will be the Knights first since Feb. 26. FDU has 18 newcomers and was picked last in the Northeast Conference preseason coaches poll.
