Last Time Out After falling in in their season opener at Rutgers 3-1, the Seawolves responded to claim their first win of the season over Delaware State on Sunday 1-0. Maddie Good (Palmyra, Pa.) who provided the winning goal, her first of her career on the first shot of her career. Stony Brook was in control pretty much the entire game, outshooting its opponent 22-6, but Good's goal didn't come until the 76th minute. Redshirt senior

Scouting Siena The Saints had a tough opening weekend dropping a 3-0 decision to Holy Cross and a 2-0 match to UMass Lowell. The results come as a bit of a surprise considering Siena was picked to finish third in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, as voted on by the conference's 11 head coaches. They return six starters from a team that finished 11-9-1 and advanced to the MAAC semifinal a year ago, including second team All-MAAC selection Tara Sobierajski, the team's leading returning score after registering four goals and three assists from her center back position as a freshman.

Lindsay Hutchinson (Millersville, Pa.)) are back this year. The Seawolves outshot Siena 28-14 in the game but the score was tied late in the second half until Yurko's goal gave the Seawolves the lead for good.

Sydney Vaughn (Ballwin, Mo.) for the first two games. Ironically, none of those four played in those spots for Stony Brook a year ago. Murrer featured mainly at forward, Fuller at midfield, Groth at left back and Vaughn was still in high school. The group has adapted well, holding Delaware State to just six shots for the match on Sunday to post its first clean sheet.
