Stony Brook, N.Y. - #Seawolves freshman forward
Maddie Good (Palmyra, Pa.) was named America East Rookie of the Week after scoring a goal and adding an assist in Stony Brook's 3-2 overtime victory over Fordham on Sunday afternoon.
With the Seawolves trailing the Rams by a goal in the second half, Good delivered a pinpoint cross to senior
Megan Rea (East Haven, Conn.), who brought the home team level. Minutes later she gave Stony Brook the lead, redirecting a cross from senior
Shannon Grogan (Eastampton, N.J.) over the keeper's shoulder for her second goal of the year.
Good is tied with junior
Tessa Devereaux (Fayetteville, N.Y.) and redshirt sophomore
Raven Edwards (West Orange, N.J.) for the team lead in points with six on two goals and two assists. She is the first Seawolf to take home an America East honor this season.
Stony Brook opens conference play next Sunday at UMass Lowell at 1 p.m. They went 6-2 in conference play last season.
