Final Stats
Gainesville, Fla. - The Seawolves pitching staff held DIBaseball.com No. 2 / USA Today Coaches' Poll No. 5 Florida to just one run, but the offense couldn't find a way to cross the plate as Stony Brook fell to the Gators 1-0 on Friday night.
Senk's Reaction
"I am extremely proud of our team's effort tonight, which was led by another outstanding overall pitching performance," said head coach Matt Senk. "Tim Knesnik, Kevin Kernan and Chad Lee were terrific and have set a highly-competitive example for their teammates to follow the remainder of the series. We are excited to get two more opportunities against a tremendous Florida team."
Turning Point

Schwarz double down the left field line. Starter Tim Knesnik (Milford, Pa) (0-2) exited the game after the Schwarz double. His final line read 5 IP, 5 H, 1 R/ER, 3 BB and 2 K's.

- Chavarria bounced a one-out single in the ninth inning to run his successive games reaching base streak to nine, including all seven games this season.
- Freshman Kevin Kernan (Mahopac, N.Y.) and junior Chad Lee (San Dimas, Calif.) combined to throw three perfect innings out of the bullpen. Kernan worked the sixth and seventh innings while Lee nailed down the eighth.
