Harrisonburg, Va. - The Seawolves sit 4-6 through their first 10 games of the season, participating in the Florida Gulf Coast Invitational and University of North Florida Touranment. They went 2-3 in each tournament.
Seniors Shayla Giosia (Runnemede, N.J.) and Bria Green (Wheatley Heights, N.Y.) have powered the Seawolves line-up through the first two weeks, each collecting a team-high 11 hits. Five of Green’s 11 hits have gone for extra-bases, and three have cleared the fences. Her 11 rbi are six clear of her next closest pursuers, Giosia and junior Diane Caruso (Middletown, N.Y.) Caruso is second on the team with two home runs. Freshman Chelsea Evans (Merced, Calif.) emerged on the scene with a nice week in Jacksonville. She went 3-for-8 with four runs scored, three rbi and the first home run of her career. Junior Jane Sallen (Lake Worth, Fla.) has carried the bulk of the innings in the circle, sitting 3-4 with a 3.02 era and four complete games.
Stony Brook will take on St. John’s, Maryland and James Madison this weekend. They were originally scheduled to play Rhode Island and James Madison on Friday, but all Friday games were cancelled due to weather.

Game 1 St. John’s vs. Stony Brook - 11:00 a.m. | LIVE STATS
The Red Storm are off to a 4-11 start despite receiving tremendous production from Hannah Anderson and Krystal Puga. Anderson’s .440 batting average leads the team, while Puga follows with a .423 clip and team-high three home runs. Erin Burner leads the team with 16 hits. McKenzie Murray has gone 3-3 with a 2.84 era and two complete games in the circle for St. John’s.

Game 2 Maryland vs. Stony Brook - 12:00 p.m. | LIVE STATS
The Terrapins have navigated their way through a difficult schedule to sit 12-7. Hannah Dewey and Corey Schwartz are the team’s top offensive weapons, tied for the team lead with 21 hits. Dewey’s .375 batting average tops the club, while Schwartz’s four homers are tied for the team lead with Mandy Gardner. Kaitlyn Schmeiser is 9-4 on the rubber for the Terrapins with a 2.28 era. She has made 17 appearances, nine of which were starts, and has thrown four complete games.
Game 3 Stony Brook vs. James Madison - 2:30 p.m. | LIVE STATS
Stony Brook wraps up the James Madison Tournament with a game against the tournament hosts. The Dukes own a 7-5 record and have played four teams ranked in the top 25 in the country. Their most impressive win to date was an 8-2 victory over No. 13 Minnesota. Megan Good (.417) and Erica Field (.400) pace the James Madison offense. Jailyn Ford’s two home runs are a team-high. The strength of the Dukes team rests in its pitching staff. Good is the team’s top pitcher, sporting a 4-0 record with a 0.93 era and three complete games. Their combined staff era is just 2.29.
