WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Stony Brook was unable to keep their momentum from back-to-back home wins to open the season and fell at 25th-ranked William & Mary 21-0 on Saturday night at Walter J. Zable Stadium in a CAA Football game.
Quoting the Seawolves
Head coach Chuck Priore
"Part of football on Saturday is that one team wins and one team loses. I'm certainly not happy about it. We got outplayed. They were a better football team on this Saturday."
"The bottom line is that we didn't play well enough to win a football game. We competed and our effort was good, but we didn't play Stony Brook football."
Scoring
- W&M got on the board early with a touchdown on their first drive of the game when Andrew Caskin pulled down an 8-yard pass from Steve Cluley that capped a 9-play, 72-yard drive. Nick Dorka made the PAT to make it 7-0 Tribe.
- William & Mary capped a 10-play, 88-yard drive in the second quarter with a 28-yard run by Kendell Anderson. Dorka made the PAT to give the Tribe a 14-0 lead.
