WACO, Texas - The Stony Brook baseball team fell to Baylor 16-2 on Friday night in the opening game of the three-game series at Baylor Ballfield.
Senior LF Jack Parenty (Wantagh, N.Y.) went 3-for-4 with a sac fly RBI for the Seawolves (1-3), while Baylor (2-3) plated 14 of their 15 runs with two outs and collected 12 base-on-balls.

"Baylor deserves all the credit for jumping on us from the very first inning. They beat us in every aspect of the game tonight."
Turning Point
Baylor jumped out to an early lead by sending six runners across the plate in the bottom of the first inning. The Bears used the benefit of five hits and a walk during the inning.
Notes
- Senior LF Jack Parenty (Wantagh, N.Y.) extended his hitting streak to four straight with a first-inning single. Parenty also has his second multi-hit game of the young season and his first three-hit game of the year.
- Junior SS Jeremy Giles (Claremont, Calif.) extended his hitting streak to four with a double in the eighth inning.
- Sophomore 1B Bobby Honeyman (Massapequa, N.Y.) extended his hitting streak to four with a single in the seventh inning.
- Honeyman started the game at 1B and has now started games for the Seawolves at 1B, 2B, SS, 3B and C during his career.
