Bryant's Reaction

"We came out with good focus in game one and got a nice victory," said head coach Megan Bryant. "We had some timely hits and played good defense to preserve the win."

"In game two, we gave them too many free bases and didn't make the necessary adjustments at the plate," Bryant continued. "Our defense was a bright spot as it was good for us all day."

Senior Jane Sallen (Lake Worth, Fla.) pitched in-and-out of trouble all game, escaping three bases loaded jams without yielding a run, to record her eigth win of the season. Senior Allie Pisciotta (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) added an insurance run with a long single off the base of the fence in right field in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Game Two

Stony Brook led 2-1 through two innings thanks to an rbi single from Evans and an rbi triple from Pisciotta, but the Black Bears regained the lead with a two-run third inning. They would add a run in the fifth and two in the sixth to notch the win. The game was called after six complete innings due to darkness.
