ORONO, Maine – Stony Brook baseball senior LHP Tyler Honahan (Parker, Colo.) spoiled Maine’s senior day on Sunday afternoon when he tossed a complete game three-hitter over the Black Bear to guide the Seawolves to a 9-0 win at Mahaney Diamond to claim the America East Conference series win.                    

The Seawolves (22-24, 11-8 AE) collected nine runs on nine hits to complement Honahan’s first complete game of the season in which he allowed just three hits and struck out 10 Black Bears (18-31, 7-13 AE).

Senior 2B Jack Parenty (Wantagh, N.Y.) posted three hits and drove in three runs, including a two-run single in the seventh inning. Junior RF Casey Baker (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) and sophomore 3B Bobby Honeyman (Massapequa, N.Y.) each had a pair of RBI, while junior CF Toby Handley (Whitby, Ontario) had two hits, including a double, and drove in one run.

Turning Point
The Seawolves set the tone early with two runs in the top of the first inning thanks to RBI hits by sophomore 3B Bobby Honeyman (Massapequa, N.Y.) and senior 1B Johnny Caputo (Toronto, Ontario). The two runs proved all Stony Brook needed with senior LHP Tyler Honahan (Parker, Colo.) complete game three-hitter.

Notes
- Senior LHP Tyler Honahan (Parker, Colo.) appeared in his 60^th game as a Seawolf on Sunday. His 60 appearance ties him for fifth on Stony Brook’s career list.
- Honahan picked up his 19^th career win with his complete game on Sunday.
- Senior 2B Jack Parenty (Wantagh, N.Y.) had three hits on Sunday and now has 245 career base hits, moving him into a third-place tie on Stony Brook’s career list. Parenty also moved into third in career at bats with (763) and he became the 10^th player in school history to play in 200 games. Sunday’s game was the 200^th of his career.
- Junior RF Casey Baker (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) walked in the first inning and has now reached base safely in 17 straight games.
- Sophomore 3B Bobby Honeyman (Massapequa, N.Y.) singled in the first inning on Sunday and has now hit safely in six straight games now.
