Stony Brook, N.Y. – For the second time in four days, the Stony Brook volleyball team outlasted an opponent for a five-set win, as the Seawolves downed Fordham (23-25, 25-22, 26-24, 19-25, 15-11) Tuesday night at Pritchard Gymnasium. With the win, the Seawolves improve to 4-10, while the Rams drop to 7-8.

By the Numbers
- Sophomore
McKyla Brooks (Blasdell, N.Y.) led the Seawolves with 15 kills, which tied her career-high.
- Sophomore
Morgan Kath (Muskego, Wis.) tallied a career-high 54 assists to go along with nine digs, four kills and two blocks. Kath had 53 assists Saturday against Fort Wayne.
- Freshman
Kardasia Hitchcock (Alexander City, Ala.) notched a career-best 15 digs.
- Sophomore
Taylor Wilson (Corydon, Ind.) added 12 kills, while freshmen
Jordan Gels (Lewis Center, Ohio) and
Liz Pulver (Temecula, Calif.) each chipped in 11.
- Junior
Melann Amory (Center Valley, Pa.) tallied 12 digs, while Gels added 10.
- Freshman
LeAnne Sakowicz (Wauconda, Ill.) provided a spark off the bench yet again for Stony Brook, recording five aces in the match.
- Tuesday was the Seawolves' first victory of the year in which they were bested in team hitting percentage. Stony Brook hit .250 Tuesday night, slightly below a .265 clip from Fordham.
Notes
- Tuesday marked the first time the Seawolves have won back-to-back matches both in five sets since Oct. 1 and 4, 2013, when Stony Brook won in five at Fordham and then took its America East opener from New Hampshire in five.
- The Seawolves have defeated the Rams in each of the last seven seasons and are 10-4 all-time against Fordham.
- The 10 wins against Fordham in the Division I era are tied with Bucknell for the most against a single non-conference opponent.
- Kath's 54 assists were the most by a Seawolves setter since
Nicole Vogel tallied 55 last Nov. 7 at Binghamton.
