Stony Brook, N.Y. – Playing its third five-set match in a week, the Stony Brook volleyball team was unable to replicate the result of the previous two, as the Seawolves fell to the Retrievers (26-24, 23-25, 25-14, 14-25, 10-15) Friday night at RAC Arena in both teams' America East opener. In the defeat, the Seawolves fall to 4-11 and 0-1 in America East play, while the Retrievers improve to a league-best 10-3 overall and a 1-0 conference mark.
By the Numbers
- Sophomore
Taylor Wilson (Corydon, Ind.) had a team-high 11 kills for the Seawolves and added four blocks.
- Freshman
Liz Pulver (Temecula, Calif.) was in double-digits in kills for the fifth-straight match, as she tallied 10 on the night.

Kardasia Hitchcock (Alexander City, Ala.) notched a career-best 16 digs. Hitchcock also recorded three straight aces in the third set to give the Seawolves a 7-1 lead in the frame.
- Sophomore
Morgan Kath (Muskego, Wis.) notched 43 assists and 11 digs. Kath has recorded nine or more digs in each of her last four matches.
- The Seawolves were outhit in the match, .173-.139.
- Stony Brook matched a season-best with 8.0 total blocks.
