Seawolves travel to Albany for America East clash

Albany, N.Y. - The Stony Brook women's basketball team faces Albany in a Saturday afternoon showdown as the Seawolves look to split the opening week of America East play.

Scouting the Great Danes
Albany is 7-7 on the year after opening America East play with a 93-69 triumph over UMass Lowell Wednesday night at SEFCU Arena.

The Seawolves and Great Danes had one common opponent in nonconference play, as both teams lost on the road at St. Bonaventure.

Jessica Fequiere leads the Great Danes with 13.1 points per game and has tallied a conference-best 7.3 rebounds per game. The Great Danes are second in the America East at 66.0 points per game as a team.

All-Time vs. Albany
Stony Brook and Albany have played 35 times the Seawolves joined Division I. Albany leads the series 22-13 and has taken 12 of the last 14 meetings. The Great Danes swept the season series a year ago.

Wildcats' Wild Comeback Sinks Seawolves
New Hampshire stormed back from 18 points down to defeat Stony Brook 49-46 in both teams' America East openers Wednesday. Sophomore Davion Wingate led the Seawolves with 16 points.

Bayne-Walker Approaches Program Assist Record
Senior Kori Bayne-Walker ranks second in program history with 408 career assists. The Seawolves point guard enters Wednesday nine assists shy of Mykeema Ford's all-time record of 417 set in 2007. Bayne-Walker is also the Seawolves' active scoring leader with 860 points.

Start Me Up
The Seawolves are 5-2 since sophomore Davion Wingate and senior Anamaria Skaro entered the starting lineup Dec. 11 at CCSU. Wingate is averaging 15.4 points per game since joining the lineup.
