Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Seawolves fall at No. 18 New Hampshire, 2-0

DURHAM, N.H. – Stony Brook men's soccer dropped an America East contest at New Hampshire, 2-0, on Saturday night at Wildcat Stadium. With the loss, the Seawolves fall to 6-5-4 (0-3-2 AEC) so far in 2017.

Quoting Head Coach Ryan Anatol
"I thought we started the game well tonight and defensively we were good, especially in the first half. Unfortunately we didn't create enough on the attacking side of things, and we gave up a goal I thought we could have done better with midway through the second half. At that point, we really had to try to push numbers forward to get the equalizer. We created a couple close chances, and the guys pushed to the end before giving up the second goal with just seconds left on the clock."

Final: New Hampshire 2, Stony Brook 0
  • Robin Schmidt scored the Wildcats' first goal at 66:29, finding the back of the net to give New Hampshire a one-goal lead. Schmidt scored again in the 90th minute, extending UNH's lead to two goals.
  • Stony Brook tallied five total shots (two on goal), and attempted one corner kick in the loss.
  • Sophomore goalkeeper Jacob Braham (Cortlandt, N.Y.) played the entire game in goal for the Seawolves. Braham now has a 38 saves in 2017, with a 1.20 goals-against average.
  • Danny Espinoza (East Meadow, N.Y) attempted a team-best two shots. Akeem Morris (Almont, N.Y.), Jarred Dass (Marabella, Trinidad) and Eric McKenna (Great River, N.Y.) all had one shot, as well.
