BOSTON - Stony Brook women's soccer freshman Fanny Gotesson (Varnamo, Sweden) has been named America East women's soccer Co-Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday, Oct. 9. The award is Gotesson's first conference weekly award honor in her collegiate career.

Gotesson assisted on both of the Seawolves' goals in Sunday's win over New Hampshire, giving her one goal and three assists in seven games played this season. Stony Brook erased a one-goal deficit vs. New Hampshire at LaValle Stadium, handing the Wildcats their first conference loss of the season.
