HARTFORD, Conn -- Despite a strong night from beyond the arc, the Stony Brook men's basketball team allowed a late run that would prove to be costly as it fell to UConn, 72-64 at the XL Center Tuesday night. The Seawolves drop to 0-2 on the season, while UConn sits at 2-0.
Boals' Reaction
"I thought that for the first 34:30 we did a great job of guarding the ball and one of our keys coming in was to make them execute in the half court," said head coach
Jeff Boals. "We did a great job containing those guys for the first 34-and-a-half minutes, but they really stepped up in crunch time and made plays. We'll learn from this one, I love our guys' competitiveness."
