Scouting the Retrievers
UMBC enters Thursday with sights set on the No. 2 seed in the upcoming America East tournament. The Retrievers have won six in a row and 10 out of 11, with the lone setback a 10-point loss at New Hampshire Jan. 28.

Taylor McCarley ranks fourth in the conference with 14.2 points per game and one is three UMBC players in double figures in scoring. McCarley is third in the AE with 4.8 assists per game.

Series History vs. UMBC
Stony Brook is 16-15 against UMBC since the Retrievers joined the America East for the 2003-04 season. Two of the last three meetings have gone to overtime.

UMBC held off Stony Brook in a 67-61 Retrievers victory in Baltimore Jan. 25. Senior Christa Scognamiglio had 17 points and 10 rebounds.

KBW, Threes Carry Seawolves in Binghamton
Senior Kori Bayne-Walker had 24 points and Stony Brook went 12-for-16 from beyond the arc in a 74-59 win at Binghamton Saturday.

Senior Christa Scognamiglio hit six threes and tallied a career-high 22 points in the win, as Stony Brook went 8-for-8 from three-point range in a second half in which the Seawolves outscored the Bearcats 47-24.

KBW Breaks Assist Record; Reaches 1,000 Points
Senior Kori Bayne-Walker tallied six assists in the Jan. 16 win over UMass Lowell to break the all-time program record. Her fourth assist of the day - a second-quarter dish to Elizabeth Manner - passed Mykeema Ford with the 418th of her career. Bayne-Walker enters Thursday with 460 career assists.

Bayne-Walker became Stony Brook's 17th 1,000-point scorer Saturday with a 24-point outing.

Freeze on Threes
Stony Brook is the only America East team to hold an opponent without a three-pointer this season, doing it twice. The Seawolves held Vermont to 0-for-13 from three Jan. 28 and limited UMass Lowell to 0-for-10 Feb. 6.

Start Me Up
Sophomore Davion Wingate has been in double figures in 13 of her last 20 games, which includes 20-point performances at the Florida Sunshine Classic against Florida A&M and Indiana, Jan. 19 at Hartford and Feb. 6 at UMass Lowell.

Wingate is the Seawolves' leading scorer at 11.9 points per game on the year.

Three Stats on Christa's Threes
Senior Christa Scognamiglio passed Kelly Watson (2003-07) Jan. 7 for third in program history with 124 made three-pointers.

Scognamiglio's six threes at Central Connecticut (Dec. 11) were tied for the fourth-most in a single-game in program history, and the most since Mykeema Ford hit a program-record seven three-pointers at Boston University, Jan. 28, 2004. The senior guard achieved the feat again in the Feb. 18 win at Binghamton.

Scognamiglio's 142 three-pointers rank third behind Ford, who hit 181 from 2003-07 and Donna Fennessy, who made 170 from 1994-98.

Next Up: Vermont
Stony Brook closes out the regular season at home on Senior Day, as the Seawolves host Vermont Sunday at 2 p.m.
