THE SERIES

Stony Brook leads the all-time series with the Great Danes, 22-19. The two teams first met in 2000, when Albany took a 51-47 win in Stony Brook. The Seawolves boast an 11-8 record against Albany at home after rallying for the biggest comeback in program history earlier this season. Stony Brook trailed by 21 with under 10 minutes to play. The Seawolves took their first lead of the game and sealed the win one a Tyrell Sturdivant layup with less than a second on the clock. The Great Danes lead the series in Albany 11-8.

The Seawolves went 1-1 against the conference foe last season, first topping  Albany at home, 69-63. Later in the year, the Great Danes defeated Stony Brook 82-70 in Albany, snapping the Seawolves' 18-game winning streak and handing them their first of just two conference losses that season.

LAST TIME OUT

It was nearly the same game the second time around as a last-second shot in the paint decided Stony Brook's 64-61 win over New Hampshire at home. After a slow start to the game for both teams, New Hampshire put together a 10-2 run to create some distance early in the game. The Wildcats extended their lead to double figures with under three minutes to play in the first half and took an eight-point lead into the break.

Stony Brook took over in the opening minutes of the second half, going on a 16-2 tear to regain its early lead. A pair of threes for the Wildcats following the scoring drought got them back within one midway through the half.

A three-point play by Lucas Woodhouse followed immediately by a steal and a three from Kameron Mitchell, on a give-and-go with his classmate, quickly returned the difference to nine in Stony Brook's favor.

The Wildcats drained a three on three straight possessions to make it a three-point game with under six minutes to play.

Stony Brook never lost its lead in the closing minutes. A late foul by the Seawolves sent New Hampshire's Tanner Leissner to the line with a chance to tie the game. He hit one-of-two with 35 seconds on the clock. Bryan Sekunda go ahold of the loose rebound and this time around it was Woodhouse who took it straight to the basket to make it three-point game and seal the win with 10 seconds remaining.

FROM THE CHARITY STRIPE

Senior Lucas Woodhouse is ninth in the nation from the free throw line, shooting 92-percent from the line on the year. Woodhouse made 30 consecutive free throws to begin conference play.

Earlier in the year against Northeastern, Woodhouse went 8-for-8 in the final 1:38 of the win before setting a new career best the next game with 12 makes on 12 attempts against Lehigh.

As a team, the Seawolves are shooting 72.9 from the line, good for 83rd in the country.

HELPING HAND

Woodhouse currently leads the America East and is tied for 41st in the nation with 5.3 assists per game. Woodhouse also sits at 17th in the country in assist-turnover ratio (3.08) while the team ranks 40th (1.30). Against Vermont, Woodhouse dished out five assists and did not commit a turnover. This marked the fourth time this season he has not had a turnover while tallying at least four assists.
