STONY BROOK, N.Y. – The Stony Brook softball team returns from a nine-day break on Wednesday, March 22, hosting Monmouth in a doubleheader at University Field for the Seawolves' first home action of the year before traveling to Sacred Heart on Thursday, March 24.
Latest in Stony Brook Softball
- Stony Brook enters the week at 1-11 overall. Most recently, the Seawolves dropped three games at the New Mexico Tournament.
- The Seawolves enter the week with a .263 team batting average and a 6.72 ERA.
- Stony Brook's offense recorded 17 hits on March 11 vs. New Mexico, which is still the most for any America East Conference team in a single game this year.
- Jourdin Hering (Federal Way, Wash.) has paced the Seawolves offensively so far this season, hitting .425 (17-for-40) with 21 total bases. Hering ranks No. 5 in the AEC in batting average.
