STONY BROOK, N.Y. – The Stony Brook baseball team begins America East Conference play by hosting Hartford for a three-game series at Joe Nathan Field that gets underway with a doubleheader on Friday followed by a single game on Saturday.
The first pitch on Friday between the Seawolves (6-12, 0-0 AE) and Hawks (2-9, 0-0 AE) is scheduled for Noon, while Saturday's game is slated to begin at Noon.
Scouting the Seawolves
- Head coach Matt Senk picked up his 750th career victory with Stony Brook's 7-0 win at UCSB last Sunday.
- Stony Brook enters the series with a .254 team batting average and a 6.54 team ERA.
- Senior CF Toby Handley (Whitby, Ontario) is climbing up the Stony Brook Division I record book in a few career categories. He enters the Hartford series ranked tied for fourth in career triples with 12, tied for sixth in stolen bases with 42 and sixth in walks with 83.
