Freshman Chris Hamilton (Schenectady, N.Y.) provided a pinch-hit double in the seven inning to tie the score and Freshman DH Michael Wilson (Colonia, N.J.) hit his first collegiate home run in the first inning to get Stony Brook on the board.

Turning Point
With two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning and freshman 3B Nick Grande (Smithtown, N.Y.) on second, Real skied an 0-2 pitch over the left field wall to break a 2-2 tie.

Quoting Associate Head Coach Joe Pennucci
"This win is as good as any because this win kind of gets us on track to understanding that we can get a big hit. We can make a big pitch and we can make a big play. That's what we did. We were resilient. We bounced back. We got some two strike hits. We had some two out hits to add on to the lead. We did things that good teams do."
