STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Stony Brook baseball played long ball with Maine on Saturday afternoon at Joe Nathan Field and thanks to four home runs and a bases loaded walk, the Seawolves swept the America East Conference doubleheader against the visiting Black Bears.
The Seawolves (19-21, 7-7 AE) claimed game one 6-3 over the Black Bears (15-22, 3-8 AE) thanks in part to pair of solo home runs by senior 1B
Casey Baker (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) and freshman DH
Michael Wilson (Colonia, N.J.), and earned a 4-3 walk-off victory in game two after a bases loaded walk to senior CF
Toby Handley (Whitby, Ontario) that scored junior LF
Andruw Gazzola (Coram, N.Y.) in the eighth inning. Handley and sophomore RF
Dylan Resk (Ardsley, N.Y.) each homered in game two. Resk's two-run shot came in the sixth inning to tie the score.

Bret Clarke (Royersford, Pa.) picked up his third win of the season in game one after he went 6.1 innings and allowed three runs and struck out five. Junior
RHP Aaron Pinto (West Covina, Calif.) picked up his second save of the season after her pitched a scoreless ninth inning. Junior RHP
Teddy Rodliff (Quincy, Ma.) earned the victory in game two, his fourth of the season, after he tossed a pair of scoreless innings in relief of freshman RHP
Brian Herrmann (Northport, N.Y.) who went the first six innings and struck out eight.
Game One Turning Point
After the Seawolves got on the board first with the home run by Baker in the bottom of the fourth inning, Maine put together three straight hits, including a double, but Clarke pitched his way out of the jam and didn't allow a run. Stony Brook then added a second run in the bottom of the fifth inning when Wilson led off with a home run.
Game Two Turning Point
Stony Brook stranded the bases loaded in each the sixth and seventh innings before loading the bases again in the bottom of the eight when Handley walked in Gazzola with the winning run. Resk had tied the game at 3-3 in the bottom of the sixth with his 11
th home run of the season.

"To put a sweep together today was big for us. We've had a difficult stretch of coming out on the short end of doubleheaders and extra inning games and to come out on top with a sweep and winning the extra inning game was big for us."

- Sophomore RF Dylan Resk (Ardsley, N.Y.) belted his 11th home run of the season and the 13th of his career in the sixth inning of game two on Saturday. His 11 for the season ties him for seventh on Stony Brook's single season HR list.
- Senior CF Toby Handley (Whitby, Ontario) hit his fourth home run of the season in game two and fifth of his career.
- Handley hit safely in each game on Saturday and has now reached base safely in 27 straight games. .
- Senior 1B Casey Baker (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) homered in game one for his fourth of the season and eighth of his career.
