STONY BROOK, N.Y. - Senior CF Toby Handley (Whitby, Ontario) and junior 3B Bobby Honeyman (Massapequa, N.Y.) each collected three hits to lead the Stony Brook baseball team's hit parade on Wednesday afternoon in the 13-2 victory over Iona at Joe Nathan Field.
 
Handley, who's hits were a triple, double and single, also drove in three runs for the Seawolves (11-14, 4-2 AE). In addition to Handley and Honeyman, senior 1B Casey Baker (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.), sophomore 2B Brandon Janofsky (Jackson, N.J.) and sophomore C Sean Buckhout (West Nyack, N.Y.) each had two hits.
 
On the mound, Stony Brook held Iona (9-12, 3-3 MAAC) to just six hits by using six different pitchers. Junior LHP Kevin Kernan (Mahopac, N.Y.) picked up his second win of the season after going 3.0 hitless innings in the start.
 
Turning Point
Stony Brook jumped out early with a pair of runs in the first inning thanks to run scoring hits by sophomore RF Dylan Resk (Ardsley, N.Y.) and junior 3B Bobby Honeyman (Massapequa, N.Y.). The Seawolves then put the game out of reach with five runs in the second inning.

"The bats picked up where they left off on Sunday and that's good to see. We looked really comfortable and confident at the plate. It was good to get some guys out on the mound in game action that have not been out there in a while. Overall it was another solid performance by the entire team."

• Redshirt freshman C Michael Amandola (Babylon, N.Y.) singled in his first career plate appearance. 
• Senior CF Toby Handley (Whitby, Ontario) recorded his second three-hit game of the season and the his eighth overall multi-hit game.
• Handley tripled in the second inning for his 13^th career three-bagger. That moved him into third–place all alone on Stony Brook's career list.  
• Junior 3B Bobby Honeyman (Massapequa, N.Y.) had his first three-hit game of the season and fifth multi-hit game of the season.
• Senior 1B Casey Baker (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) collected a pair of hits for his 11^th multi-hit games of the season.
• Sophomore 2B Brandon Janofsky (Jackson, N.J.) registered his seventh multi-hit game of the season with his two hits today.
• Sophomore C Sean Buckhout (West Nyack, N.Y.) recorded his second multi-hit game of the season with a pair of hits.

Stony Brook have a four-game series with Sacred Heart over the weekend with Friday's game schedule to be played in Fairfield at 3:30 p.m., a doubleheader at Stony Brook at Noon on Saturday and a single game at Noon at Stony Brook on Sunday.
