Fred Kemp, a pioneer of Stony Brook football passes away

The Stony Brook football family lost Fred Kemp last week. Kemp was a pioneer of the Stony Brook football program and served as head coach during the early years. He helped forge the way for the program that exists today. Kemp passed away in peace with his son, John at his side.

Services will be held Friday, May 19 at Maloney Funeral Home, 825 Main Street, Holbrook, N.Y., 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

Burial will be Saturday morning at Pine Lawn Cemetery, 2030 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, N.Y.
