STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Stony Brook men's soccer fell to Army, 3-0, on Monday night at LaValle Stadium in non conference action. The Seawolves fall to 1-1-0 (0-0-0 America East Conference) with the loss, while Army improves to 2-0-0 (0-0-0 Patriot League) with the victory.
Quoting Head Coach Ryan Anatol
"When you look at the first half, I think it was a pretty even game. I definitely felt like it was a back-and-forth game in the first half. They had some moments, and we had some moments, as well… Going down one [goal] early changed the game, but we still have to do a better job. I think we played too much in front of them today. We knew coming in that they would be a tough opponent, I expect them to win a lot of games this year. We have to take our lessons from the game and move on."
Final: Army 3, Stony Brook 0
- Tom McMahon (Nassau Bay, Texas) made a season-high eight saves in net.
- Serge Gamwanya (Trondheim, Norway) recorded a team-high four shots, while Thibault Duval (Liege, Belgium) had three shots in the loss.
