SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Stony Brook women's soccer fell to Bryant, 1-0, on Sunday afternoon at Bulldog Soccer Field. With the loss, the Seawolves are now 2-4-0 (0-0-0 AEC) thus far in 2017.
Stony Brook outshot Bryant 15-3 in the loss, recording eight shots in the second half of the contest.
Quoting Head Coach Brendan Faherty
"It's been a theme with our group lately, but full credit to Bryant for being the better team in both 18's today. We are disappointed in the result, but we will move on quickly as we have another tough game on Friday at Columbia."

- The lone goal of the contest came in the 19th minute, as Bryant's Remi Manna found the back of the net with an assist from Alison Guilmette to make it 1-0 Bulldogs.
- Freshman goalkeeper Sofia Manner (Helsinki, Finland) recorded a save in the loss. She's only surrendered 1.4 goals-per-game in her first five collegiate contests.
- Stony Brook attempted six shots on goal, and four corner kicks.
- The Seawolves have now attempted double-digit shot totals in three of six games this season.
