STONY BROOK, N.Y.- The Stony Brook volleyball team defeated Hartford in three sets (25-16, 25-17, 25-12) Thursday night. The Seawolves improve to 13-8, and the Hawks fall to 9-10 on the season.
Coach Belzung's Reaction
"Hartford is probably the best offensive team in our conference but I thought our team did a good job of pushing a couple scoring runs in each set, and finding a way to pick up the shots to allow us to score in transition. In addition, we were in system in serve receive most of the night which stressed them. We are excited to celebrate Sarah Boeckel joining the Stony Brook Hall of Fame tomorrow night and have a tough non-conference match at Iona on Sunday."
