Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

Worley leads Seawolves past UMBC on Senior Night

STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Stony Brook women's basketball earned its third-straight conference victory on Wednesday night at Island Federal Credit Union Arena, topping UMBC by the final score of 53-49 on Senior Night.

Aaliyah Worley (Philadelphia, PA) came through for the Seawolves following a pre-game celebration of her four-year career with the program, scoring a team-high 13 points to go along with six rebounds and two assists in the win.

Quoting Head Coach Caroline McCombs
"I thought UMBC got off to a great start tonight, and we were trying to play catch up the entire game. Once we started defending better in the second half, we were able to get stops and create more opportunities for our transition game. To come back from behind like we did showed a lot of determination by our players. It's hard to believe tonight was our final home game of the regular season and senior day for Aaliyah Worley. I would just like to thank our awesome fans, our band, our cheerleaders and everyone who has continued to support our program. We are very thankful!"
