THIBODAUX, LA. – Despite owning a 5-0 lead early, the Stony Brook baseball team fell short of getting the series sweep over host Nicholls with Monday night's 14-7 loss at Didier Field.

Brandon Alamo (Artesia, Calif.) belted his second home run of the season for the Seawolves (3-1).
Turning Point
Nicholls, which trailed 5-0 in the fourth inning, posted three runs in the bottom of the fourth and put up six runs on five hits in the bottom of the sixth inning to take the lead for good.

"We put ourselves in position to have a great weekend, but unfortunately came up short tonight. However, the series was overall a very, very good start to the season and the team is looking forward to next weekend at Norfolk State."
