STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Sophomore pitchers
Greg Marino (Lake Grove, N.Y.) and
Sam Turcotte (Toronto, Ontario) of the Stony Brook baseball team combined to two-hit visiting Quinnipiac on Sunday afternoon at Joe Nathan Field in the 9-2 victory.
The win for the Seawolves (12-9) earned the series sweep over the Bobcats (8-12).
Marino allowed one run on two hits with seven strikeouts in seven innings of work, while Turcotte didn't allow a hit and struck out three in the final two innings of relief work.

Nick Grande (Smithtown, N.Y.) collected three in the win, while junior DH
Brandon Alamo (Artesia, Calif.) and junior CF
Cristian Montes (Pacoima, Calif.) each drove in a pair of runs.

Turning Point
After Quinnipiac scored a run in the top of the first, Stony Brook bounced right back with three runs in the bottom half of the inning on three hits, including RBI singles from junior C
Sean Buckhout (West Nyack, N.Y.) and Alamo.
