STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Junior DH
Brandon Alamo's (Artesia, Calif.) solo home run with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning broke a 5-5 tie and gave the Stony Brook baseball team a 6-5 victory over visiting UMass Lowell on Friday afternoon at Joe Nathan Field.
The win for the Seawolves (14-9, 3-1 AE) is the fifth in a row and improved thier America East Conference record to 3-1.

Aaron Pinto (West Covina, Calif.) pitched a scoreless top of the ninth inning to earn his second win of the season, while sophomore RHP
Brian Herrmann (Northport, N.Y.) went 6.2 innings, allowed two runs and struck out seven in the start.

Turning Point
UMass Lowell tied the score a five with three runs in the top of the eighth inning setting up Alamo's heroics. He belted a 2-0, two-out pitch over the CF fence at Joe Nathan Field for the walk-off victory.
