DePonte and Götesson Record Second-Half Goals as Seawolves Rally For Win Over UAlbany

STONY BROOK, N.Y. – The Stony Brook women's soccer program is back at the top of the America East standings, thanks to second-half goals from juniors Chelsie DePonte (Honolulu, Hawaii) and Fanny Götesson (Varnamo, Sweden). The Seawolves took home a 3-1 win against rivals UAlbany at LaValle Stadium.

Freshman Paula Petri (Viersen, Germany) hit a 40-yard free kick in the first half to start the string of three consecutive goals.

BISCHOF'S REACTION
"UAlbany was a very well-coached team and they are a handful offensively. We thought we had a good gameplan and we did a good job of following it, taking advantage of the chances we had. We work on set pieces a lot in practice so it was nice to see us take advantage tonight."
