  • Binghamton had a chance to equalize just four minutes later by freshman keeper Edmond Kaiser (Karlsruhe, Germany) made one of his five saves.
  • Stony Brook extended its lead to two in the 32nd minute when Bonfils found senior Mark Irvine (Southampton, England) in front of the net for a goal.
  • In the 64th minute, Binghamton's Oliver Svalander got one past Kaiser to trim the lead to one.
  • Just two minutes later, Svalander netted his second of the night for the equalizer.
