2019 ALL-CAA FOOTBALL TEAMS
RICHMOND, Va. -- Four members of the Stony Brook football team earned CAA Football All-Conference honors highlighted by a pair of repeat players, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.

CAA Football's All-Conference awards are voted on by the league's 12 head coaches.
Redshirt sophomore OL
Kyle Nunez (East Islip, N.Y./East Islip) earned second team All-CAA Football honors along with redshirt junior DB
Augie Contressa (Commack, N.Y./Commack), while redshirt senior DB
Gavin Heslop (Yonkers, N.Y./Archbishop Stepinac) and redshirt senior LS
Billy Barber (Sound Beach, N.Y./Rocky Point) were selected to the All-CAA Football third team.
Both Nunez and Heslop earned second team honors following the 2018 season.
Nunez started all 12 games for the Seawolves in 2019. He helped anchor the offensive line as the right guard. The line allowed just 17 sacks in over 330 passing attempts and paved the way for Stony Brook backs to average 201.2 rushing yards per game.
Contressa picked up 12 starts at the Rover position for the Seawolves and led the squad with 88 total tackles that included a team-best 10.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks.
Heslop completed his Stony Brook career last weekend after starting all 12 games in 2019 that extended his streak to 37 straight games as a starter. He tallied 52 total tackles for the season with 8.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, eight pass break-ups, three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries that included a return for a touchdown and he blocked a pair of kicks on special teams.
Barber played in all 12 games as the Seawolves long snapper on all punts, field goals and extra points.
