BALTIMORE, Md. – After battling to keep the night alive in a 28-point third set, the Stony Brook volleyball team dropped a four-set match to UMBC on Friday (21-25, 21-25, 28-26, 16-25).
The Seawolves are now 4-4 in league play as the calendar heads down the home stretch with two matches in league play remaining.
Coach Belzung's Reaction
"We knew UMBC would be ready to compete and have a good game plan and tonight they executed better than us. Their fight defensively made our attackers uncomfortable and we didn't have enough fire power to end a rally before they did. We have to make some important adjustments on short turnaround as we head to Albany on Sunday for an important match in the conference standings."
