Box Score SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – The Stony Brook men's basketball team went toe-to-toe with the No. 12 team in the nation on Saturday afternoon but in the end, Seton Hall was too much as the Seawolves fell 74-57 in front of a sold-out crowd at Walsh Gymnasium.
Junior
Elijah Olaniyi (Newark, N.J.) played back in his home state for the second time in his three seasons and put in 14 points. After his jumper went in with 6:12 to go, Seton Hall went on an 18-6 run to pull away and bring the game to its final score.
COACH FORD'S REACTION
"We battled with them neck and neck for 35 minutes but couldn't finish the game. They were able to continue to make big plays down the stretch and that was the difference. I liked our energy and toughness for the bulk of the game but we shot the ball very poorly from three and that was a major factor in the outcome. All of that being said, there is plenty that we can learn from moving forward."
